iPad screenshot sizes

If your app runs on iPad, Apple requires exactly one size. It is not the one most people reach for first.

Last checked 28 July 2026 against Apple and Google's published specifications.

The short answer

2064 × 2752 portrait, the 13" size. 2048 × 2732 is also accepted in that slot.

13" and 12.9" are not the same slot

They overlap confusingly: 2048 × 2732 is valid in both. But the 13" slot is the required one, and it also accepts 2064 × 2752 for the newer panels. Upload into 13" and you are covered; upload only into 12.9" and you have filled an optional slot while leaving the required one empty.

Landscape or portrait?

Apple accepts either, and unlike iPhone, landscape is a genuinely common choice on iPad — it is how many people hold the device. Pick the orientation your app is actually used in and keep the whole set consistent. Mixing orientations inside one display size is rejected.

The requirement people miss

iPad screenshots are required if your app runs on iPad at all — including a universal build you never specifically designed for tablet. If your app is iPhone-only in Xcode's deployment settings, you can skip this page entirely.
